2-Team Moneyline Parlay: Jessica Andrade, Alexander Volkanovski
My favorite college football game is Notre Dame +6.5 tomorrow if you are afraid of the UFC. Andrade is too well-rounded for Calvillo. She’ll be better in all phases. I don’t see many ways for Calvillo to win this one. Betting against Ortega is risky, and he looked great against Zombie. That said, I just think Volkanovski is the better striker, and he’ll be smart enough to stay away from Ortega’s submission game.
Let’s face it, UConn is now the new UMass of division 1 football (no disrespect to UMass alumni & fans). This school has been awful and basically is now an embarrassment on the football field. They have been blown out in every game and even lost to Bill Simmons Holy Cross school by double digits. Meanwhile, Wyoming has put up 95 points combined in the last two weeks combined. On Saturday look for the Cowboys to crush the UConn Huskies. Wyoming wins 55-16!
The Parlay Kid
Jack Coan Over 1.5 TD Passes
Coan has gone over this number in all three games so far and there is no doubt he would love to make it four straight against his former Wisconsin teammates. I think his team and coaches will provide him every opportunity to do so and the Sayville High School product will not disappoint. +106 is great value here.
The Parlay Kid
New York Yankees to Win
In the two years of watching Gerrit Cole pitch for the Yankees, he always backs up a rare poor start with an exceptional one. Tonight should be no different especially with what’s on the line for the Yankees (playoffs) and Cole himself (Cy Young). Put up or shut up time for the Yankees. Get it done!
Boston Red Sox to Win
I hope I’m wrong here, but I think the Red Sox should be favored in this one. Boston has won 7 in a row and is 6-1 at Fenway this season vs. the Yankees. Cole has been struggling recently and lost both outings in Fenway this season. I trust the Red Sox lineup more right now. Red Sox +100.
2-Team Parlay: Fresno St. -30.5, Wake Forest/Virginia over 68.5
Wake Forest is averaging 39 points a game this season. The Cavs are a bit higher at 41 a game and they just gave up 59 last week to Sam Howell and the Tar Heels. Let's get a shootout in Charlottesville. The Bulldogs are averaging 43 points per game and the Rebels are beyond bad on defense and have given up 1500 yards and are giving up 40 points per contest through three games (that includes losing and giving up 35 points to I-AA school Eastern Washington).
Houston Texans +10.5
Houston has been better than expected (2-0 vs spread) and is actually 6th in the AFC running the ball with the law team of M Ingram, P Lindsay, and D. Johnson. The Panthers have looked good so far but on the road, this squad has not won a road game by more than 7 points in 14 straight games (last win of this sort was exactly 2 years ago on 9/22/2019. Let's give the Texans a shot and force the Panthers to win by double digits on Thursday night football.
The Parlay Kid
Mark Ingram Over 9.5 Rushing Attempts
Ingram has gone for 40 carries in his first two games so this number seems suspiciously low. If I believed in fishy lines I would question this, but I don’t. So let’s jump on because the Texans will run often to slow the Panthers pass rush and take the pressure off young QB Davis Mills.
Brittney Griner Over 22.5 Points
It seems like it’s been a while, but the WNBA playoffs are finally starting tonight. I can’t believe Harry is not on this one. The Liberty come into these playoffs struggling, and they are going to have a hard time dealing with Griner. In the regular season, they struggled to deal with her size and she dropped 29 and 26 on them. Expect another huge night from Griner. O22.5 Points!
