Against All Odds

Cousin Sal and his 3 childhood friends, Harry, Darren “The Parlay Kid” and Brother Bri, known lovingly as The Degenerate Trifecta break down the biggest gambling events of the week. Past guests relevant to the world of sports gambling have included Pete Rose, Dana White, Michael Irvin, Deontay Wilder, Molly Bloom, Metta World Peace and Manny Pacquiao. The Make-Believe Riverboat Casino is a popular sponsored segment during which each week Sal and the Degenerate Trifecta assign odds to pretend propositions such as who would win in a fight between Mr. Miyagi and Rambo. Over the years, this top-tiered, I-Heart Radio Awards- nominated sports gambling podcast has received over 10 million downloads while giving out upwards of 3 or 4 winning picks.

The Hosts

Cousin Sal

“Cousin” Sal Iacono has become a fixture on the sports gambling scene as one of the hosts of Fox Sports, “Fox Bet Live”, formerly known as “Lock It in.”

For over a decade, during the football season, he has appeared weekly on Bill Simmons’ Bill Simmons Podcast for their beloved “Guess the Lines” show. Iacono was also a writer and performer on Jimmy Kimmel Live since its launch in 2003.

He frequently still appears on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and is featured in a popular weekly gambling and comedy feature before “Fox NFL Thursday Night Football” games.

Before all of this he was somehow a practicing attorney in New York which everyone agrees now was a gigantic mistake.

Brian “Brother Bri” Szokoli

A native New Yorker, Brian is the younger brother of The Parlay Kid, and an avid Raiders, Yankees, Knicks, and Islanders fan. On the Against All Odds with Cousin Sal podcast, he makes up 90% of the brains and 20% of the weight of the “Degenerate Trifecta.” Brian has an insatiable appetite for all things sports and gambling, and has suffered hundreds and hundreds of bad beats. He currently resides on Long Island with his 2 girls, where he’s been practicing social distancing since 1998.

Darren “The Parlay Kid” Szokoli

1/3 and self-proclaimed best-looking member of the Degenerate Trifecta. Greenlawn, NY born and raised. Dayton Flyer grad. Adequate husband and proud father of 5. Educating and coaching the youth of America for the past 30 years. Never met a parlay he didn’t like – although, to be fair most of them are not fond of him

harry

Harry Gagnon

Harry Gagnon graduated (barely) from SUNY-Oswego in 1993 with a degree in Communications with an emphasis in scratch-off lottery playing. Harry worked in numerous Las Vegas race and sportsbooks as a supervisor for fourteen years before being blackballed from Sin City for unspecified reasons.
